Although I love my Greek-style turkey burgers, this is a super flavorful, more traditional alternative.
- 1/2 pound ground turkey
- 2 tsp Italian-style breadcrumbs
- 2 tsp finely diced onion
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- egg white, lightly beaten
- 2 tsp fresh parsley
- pinch of salt and black pepper
- 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- oil for cooking burgers
- 2 Kaiser or hamburger rolls
- toppings and dressing (not pictured)*
*I use lettuce and tomato, with mayonnaise mixed with Dijon mustard at a 2:1 ratio.

For those of you trying to fit more turkey in your diet, or sub in ground turkey for beef, this recipe will fit seamlessly into your dinner rotation.

- 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup peeled and finely chopped cucumber
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 to 3/4 pound ground turkey
- 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese*
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp grated lemon rind
- 2 hamburger buns or kaiser rolls
- 1/2 tomato, sliced
- 2/3 cup baby spinach, stems trimmed off
Will also need cooking spray and/or olive oil.
*I used a tomato and basil feta, but plain would also work.

Last night the fiance and I checked out Brown’s Brewing Company in Troy for the second time (photo credit to the fiance for these photos). In addition to great comfort bar food, they also brew their own beer.
I had the Fish and Chips, which was a nice fried cod with delicious french fries that came with a salad, and he had the Old Hickory burger – a cheeseburger with Cheddar Jack cheese, bacon, and cherry raspberry ale barbecue sauce:

I saw this on Pinterest, but it just linked to a picture and not a website so. . .I looked up super basic instructions how to cook a hamburger on the stove and how to cook a hamburger with an egg on the stove.
This is my particular taste, but the fiance’s, and it was for him. He approved.
Although I may have had to make it twice.
- ground beef
- salt and pepper
- cooking oil
- one egg per burger
- one slice American cheese per burger, and/or other toppings as desired
- Kaiser or hamburger rolls, toasted
