A note on comments

First, a sincere thank you to those of you who follow and read my posts, commenting or not. I hope you find the information interesting and valuable.

I’ve been receiving a lot of comments regarding technical questions about the site layout itself, many of which make no sense – as in the grammar and spelling are so bad I cannot even read what the person is saying.

I will not be approving these comments anymore.

However, if you have legitimate questions about the site – as in, you’re starting your own blog and would like advice, you have questions about WordPress, etc. – you can email me at  EKL@ErinLanders.com. If I can’t answer your question, I’ll pass it along to my site administrator.

If I can help someone out, I will. But I do not appreciate comments on posts that have literally nothing to do with the post itself, and in addition are barely readable.

Please feel free to disagree with me and my thoughts, as long as you’re not aggressively attacking me or another commenter.

Spam will continued to be spammed.

That is all.

First post

Hi!  I’m Erin, and this is my first website/blog.

I’m a writer.  I’m interested in getting my writing out there, connecting with other writers, reading their writing, etc.  I’m currently working on editing my first novel, of which I have written the first draft.

Of course, I’m also a big reader and book nerd.  Example: I’m currently putting together a group to read, or reread, The Great Gatsby in preparation for the movie remake on May 10th.

When it comes to what I read and write about, a few things I’m really into are dualism, multiple protagonists, and complex family situations.

Here is what I’m going to use this website for: I’m going to post my writing, some of which has been published online, and some hasn’t.  I welcome all comments, suggestions, and constructive criticism.  Suggestions for good books to read are also welcome.

Also, I’m really into food, so I’ll probably be talking about food related news, recipes I’ve tried, and things of that nature.  I currently write the newsletter for the Farmers Market in Menands, which is distributed once a week during the season and once a month during the off season.

And. . .that’s pretty much it!  I’m looking forward to connecting with new people, and enhancing my current connections and networks.  Please bear with me as I navigate through the inner workings of  managing a website.
