Superb weeknight salmon

Salmon is a food item that I need to get back into. I used to cook it fairly frequently, and have been on an unintended hiatus. 

In my time, I have tried many a salmon recipe. This one is by far the best from my own experience – this 4 ingredient, 15 minute, recipe has triumphed over salmon marinated all day, and salmon I’ve eaten out at restaurants.

This is the best salmon.


  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 1 1/2 tbsp butter, melted (plus more for greasing)
  • 1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
  • lemon pepper

Although I didn’t here, it should be mentioned that you can wrap the salmon in aluminum foil before baking to really seal the flavor in (this is not imperative, though).

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Combine melted butter and soy sauce in a small bowl. Place salmon on a greased baking sheet, and brush with butter and soy sauce mixture. Sprinkle generously with lemon pepper.

Bake for 15 minutes, or until salmon flakes easily with a fork.
