This recipe is brought to us by AllRecipes.com here. It is simple and amazing.
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 1/2 cups grated or shaved Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp dried parsley (or 1/4 cup fresh parsley)
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
Add the garlic and cook for another minute. Then, add the heavy cream.
Add the cheese and parsley. Cook while stirring constantly – this is one of those recipes you really kind of have to watch. Parmesan cheese can be tricky to melt.
I happened to be low on the cheese this time and added a little flour to thicken the sauce up.
When the sauce is thick and cooked through, it’s ready.
Serve with one of the many things that goes along with Alfredo sauce. I served this one with egg noodles and chicken cooked in butter and Italian seasoning.
Quick, easy dinner.
